• The processing of the following:
o exception-based trades
o manual trades
o trade corrections
o large trade confirmation
• Submission of updates to Management through weekly highlights
• Daily updating of team statistical information
• Participation in projects and special assignments, as requested on a periodic basis
• Help training and mentoring new Team Members
• Updating procedural documentation
• Identification and documenting of process improvement opportunities
• Assisting in new systems/enhancements testing

• Ensure settlement of transactions on behalf of clients for European markets
• Taking the necessary action to ensure resolution of all failing trades
• Distributing incoming queries to the relevant teams
• Escalation of potential risk and exposure to your Manager timely and efficiently
• Monitor shared inbox to ensure all queries responded to within agreed SLA
• Ensure time-sensitive duties are promptly completed (e.g. manual inputs etc.)
• Working under pressure, prioritise workload, work accurately and efficiently
• Provide cover for other team members when required
• Ensure that all established procedures are followed
• Daily breaks management
• Keeping good relationships with custodian, clients, relationship managers, middle office representatives and other cooperating teams
• Work as part of a team in providing support to colleagues and ensure that the department maintains optimum performance and delivery of objectives

• Fails Management for external client base with the requirement to be in constant regular contact with Settlements Teams.
• Monitor, agree and process daily exposures on the International Stock Loan book whilst adhering to specific client and market deadlines.
• Issue appropriate margin calls in order to cover exposure; Escalate disputed differences in a timely manner to management.
• Assess and review client borrow and loan activity and instruct accurately all associated daily collateral trades in front end system.
• Manage and maintain accuracy of client portfolio (rates, cash pool balances, security positions) using internal and external comparison utilities. (Equilend, Pirum)
• Process payments and pre-advises in Cash manager and perform daily cash reconciliation support to the control team.
• Perform daily reconciliation of client security positions using internal systems (EBAR, CBAR, JANUS) to resolve differences and escalate any anomalies.
• Interaction with Street counterparts; Stock Loan & Equity Finance traders; Settlements; Corporate Actions and other departments.
• Maintain accurate static data for clients ensuring timely corrections are processed within market timeframes.
• Provide consistent support to Stock Loan Trading and Equity Finance desk.

• Prioritise workload effectively in line with business targets and expectations
• Ensure custodian fail narratives are analysed and actioned daily.
• Report to the business on failing trades for escalation.
• Ensure any client queries or requests are resolved in a timely and accurately manner.
• Escalation of potential risk and exposure to Supervisor/Manager timely and efficiently.
• Employ networking skills to manage your relationships with custodian, clients, relationship managers, middle office representatives and information sources.
• Work as part of a team in providing support to colleagues and ensure that the department maintains optimum performance and delivery of objectives.
