My team was responsible for supplying a client in USA with adapters connecting his Network Elements (NE) with InsightNet Network Management System. Our adapters cover Configuration Management domain – they were responsible for autodiscovery and reconciliation of IT network configuration. They gathered information not only form NEs, but also from Network Management Systems (like Cisco IP Solution Center or Cisco Works).
Aside from management (creating project plan, reporting of status, risk detection, escalation of difficulties, development supervision) I was also responsible for:
- Analysis of client’s systems (NE/NMS)
- Development of adapters (Java)
- Implementation at client’s premises (1 month stay in USA, October 2005)
- Performing acceptance tests (functional tests performance tests)

Solution Manager in OSS Department– InsightNet Network Management System. The system is an umbrella solution for big telecommunication operators and service providers (like PTC-ERA Poland; 02, Germany). At that time, ComArch was focused on foreign trade especially USA, Latin America but also West/East Europe and Asia.
Responsibilities:
Creating solutions according to customers needs including:
- Analysis of clients’ requirements
- Answering for RFI
- Creating RFP and RFQ (creating project plan, pricing)
- Hardware scaling (according to estimated throughput and safety requirements)
- System presentations for clients
