Oracle DBA and Server System Management at IBM Global Services (project – SwissRe)
Main duties as Oracle DBA:
• Monitoring – using OEM Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g,
• Schema export/import handling between the Data Bases,
• Tape backup – using TSM Tivoli Storage Manager,
• Schema, user, role, trigger etc – creation and manage,
• Handling Request for Tracing, (set logon trigger etc)
• Extend tablespace,
• Temp and Undo monitor
• RAC Recourses checking and troubleshooting,
• QA – listener log, hot backup, statistics,
• Checking available file system and ASM disc groups
• Flashback table recovery – using SCN System Change Number
• Troubleshooting.
Main duties as Server System Management Specialist – Technical Lead
• Co-ordination of servers hardware replacements and contact to external vendors,
• Software problem handling,
• Server patching and software installation,
• Servers and applications monitoring using IBM Netcool / Omnibus / Tivoli Enterprise Console,
• Change Requests processing (IBM Maximo),
• Basic administration of Windows and Unix servers,
• Servers provisioning / decommission,
• Responsible to keep technical documentation up to date,
• Backup and Recovery management (IBM TSM),
• Troubleshooting of various issues and incidents.
