HPI Tattoo Migration Project (Houston and Austin) Responsibilities:

vSphere Replication - Allows migrations of OS instances from one VMware cluster to another.
 Source and Target vCenter versions are 6.5: direct replication from source to target VMware environments.
 Source vCenter version is 5.5: transition VMware environment in the target data center on vCenter 5.5. The replication between the source and transition environments and then Storage vMotion migrates the virtual machine from the transition to target VMware environment
 Troubleshooting vSphere Replication Appliance
 Identify the non supported VMs for performing the vSphere Replications
 The new SWING LUN mapping for V2V migrations using the TMO environments for vSphere Replication


Carbonite Double-Take Mov

 Configured Double-Take to support full server P2V and P2P migrations of Windows and Linux servers. It can also configured for complex V2V migrations in cases when vSphere Replication cannot support the migration requirements
 Creates a synchronization between the source and target OS instances ahead of the migration window to ensure minimal downtime is required, just enough to perform a final synchronization.

 HP Ignite Configured for all migration methods, V2V, P2V, P2V and New Build.

Double-Take Files & Folders


 Configured Carbonite Double-Take Files & Folders to allow migrations of individual files from source to destination OS instances.
 Configured a synchronization between the sources and target operating systems ahead of the migration window to copy and sync a predefined set of files and folders. This allows the application teams to install, and test their applications ahead of the migration window with a copy of production data. The final copy time is also reduced, with just a smaller final synchronization required during the migration window.
 Configured Double-Take Files & Folders to support Windows and Linux data copies under the New Build move type
