Main responsibilities:
Engineering leader in a project team - main customer contact for engineering activities
Coordination of the internal engineering activities during project development - supervision of the process and tooling roll-out
Design feasibility studies
Design change management - BOM, cost and timing impact assessment
Costs negotiation with the customer and suppliers
Negotiation of the Fit and Finish with the customer - Craftsmanship requirements
Bought out parts supplier contact - requirement definition and follow up
Assistance in supplier nomination
DFMEAs interpretation to create the Key Process Characteristics map - establishing methods to control the KPCs
BoM creation and management
Direct support at customer major gateways - PPAP phases: VP, TT, PP and JOB1
Geometrical and dimensional convergence management - measurements to ensure parts' compliance to CAD
Product and Process Validation at Prototype phase and at Run at Rate- tests and trials roll-out
Assistance in process and tooling validation + transfer to the manufacturing plant
