Illustrator / Cartoonist / Story Board Graphic Artist

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a gifted illustrator, who is passionate about his/her work; always striving to grow professionally, to stretch the boundary of creativity, and to continually improve his/her professional skills. Your primary responsibility will be to hand-illustrate a variety of story boards according to detailed written and verbal visualizations, mockups, descriptions and specifications. Of course, your task will be to reinterpret and recreate all those artifacts to produce the artwork of your own creation meeting the vision of your manager. The style and moods we appreciate the most are bright, happy, joyful fantasy worlds, scenes and objects. However, representations of “real worlds” will also be explored in a variety of illustrations. In some cases, near photo-realism will be required -- with particular attention paid to rendering light and textures. In other cases, we may ask you to illustrate various sceneries, sometimes real, sometimes unreal, surreal, imaginary or fairytale lands. In other cases, cartoonish, playful and childish styles may be called for. The more comfortable you are switching between a variety of styles, moods, sceneries or subject matters, the better. Our business is not game development, nevertheless, the application is going to be very graphic intense. Any prior experience in RPG or other computer games illustrating might be helpful (but not required).

Requirements:

 

• Most importantly: the working-level knowledge of English language (reading, writing and speaking) is absolutely required. Daily teleconferences on Skype make it necessary that you understand directions and are able to communicate your ideas in English. In addition, all specifications and all email exchanges are in English.
• We are looking for highly creative and imaginative individuals. You should possess passion for creating beautiful arts and graphical illustrations. You should have experience in representing photo-realistic textures, and brilliant lighting effects. Some experience in animation would be welcome (but not mandatory). We are looking for individuals who pay extraordinary, meticulous attention to details in their designs and illustrations.
• Some working experience with mobile environments (iOS or Android) would be nice, but it is not required (we will teach). At the minimum, you should have a proven portfolio of fantastic illustrations (books, magazines, games, cartoons, etc). Please include it with your application. 
• Students with sufficient amount of experience and interesting portfolio will be considered for this part-time position. However, in the very near future you should be available to transition to a full-time employment. You should also be willing and able to relocate to the United States if so requested by the company management.
