Firmware Engineer for Optane SSD

Job Description:

We are looking for a Validation Engineer to work on the latest line of Intel Optane Persistent Memory products. As a part of our team, you will help to validate firmware for Intel Optane products such as Intel Optane Persistent Memory 200 Series and the next generations of persistent memory products.

What you will do:
Create, define and develop system validation environment and tests. Use and apply emulation and platform level tools and techniques to ensure performance to spec.

You will be responsible for the development of methodologies, test development and debug of failures. This role requires a broad understanding of multiple system areas and requires interfaces with Architecture, Development, and other Validation teams in improving pre and post-silicon test content.

Qualifications:

Important for us:

• Experience in software or/and firmware validation
• Knowledge of Python and working experience with the versions control system
• Understanding of OS-level and low-level programming, system architecture, operating systems, device architecture
• Good communication skills and able to work in a cross geo team environment
• Good command of English
• Willingness to learn and curiosity about new technologies
  

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of CXL and PCIe protocols
• Knowledge of C/C++ programming language
