Daily ordering of raw materials to ensure sufficient stock to meet the production plan. Liaising with suppliers and materials supply on a daily basis, maintaining stock levels, updating various planning systems, investigating weekly losses/gains on variance reports and control the budget centre for adhesives.

Demand planning based on demand, capacity and material availability in line with tight inventory and cost control. Generate adaptable and achievable production plans · Monitor capacity on key operations, smoothing requirements and finding ways to improve with production colleagues. Confirming Customer Orders via back order rescheduling. Attend daily production planning meeting and weekly manning meeting.
Check the monthly forecast reviewing sales versus forecast on a daily basis and reporting on accuracy and establishing good working relationships with key contacts across the company's commercial team, and supply planning.
Support the company's operational activities by planning production jit, supplying materials needed, whilst optimizing inventory value and maintaining good relationships with the inventory users and suppliers.

Completing Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ), Requests For Information (RFI), and Invitations To Tender (ITT). Post-tender negotiations, where required, following the award of preferred bidder status. Write technical quotations to include information on pricing and availability, liaising with other technical specialists and suppliers where appropriate. Follow up quotations and convert them into orders. Managing the project team workload, checking, monitoring and ensuring tasks are completed to schedule and cost. Liaising with other technical disciplines and clients as required on technical aspects. Preparation of reports, providing information for tender documents and participating in particular investigations as required. Managing and coordinating project resource both internally and externally, with outsourced suppliers. Delivery of projects to program and budget.

Foreman (Shift Manager)

Produce a high quality product. Maintain and improve productivity. Work in line with company procedures and machine capability to ensure production deadlines are met. Maintain set-up sheets.
Keeping machine and all associated tools and equipment in a clean and tidy manner.
Ensure that production plan targets are achieved in the most cost effective manner with regards to labour and overhead expenditure and employees are effectively supervised. To ensure that they are working in compliance with health and safety regulations and the company quality systems (both permanent and temporary employees).
Meet the agreed weekly/ monthly production programme. Provide supervisory cover, in all other departments due to absenteeism and holidays if required. Day to day running of the operation including staff and the motivation and performance of them. Securing suitable raw materials.


Designer

To provide design support on allocated jobs with particular emphasis on mechanical design. Preparation of schemes for mechanical design, new tools.

To provide technical support to the buying department by providing buying lists and approving alternatives parts.
Identify machine improvements and co-ordinate the preventative maintenance of all equipment, reviewing and improving the quality of maintenance work carried out and developing action plans to improve plans and deliver plans to agreed deadlines.
Planning and co-ordinating and if necessary assist in reactive repairs (included Specialist Service Contractors)
Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks to the area team and Specialist Service Contractors.
Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance is carried out in line with task schedules and budget. Provide support to compilation of documentation for Specialist Service Contractors.
