During my time in the Staging department I have worked on some of the UK’s largest retail stores. I have just finished work on a major Lidl Back Office and tills system upgrade to integrate into their store environment. During this development as the staging project coordinator I have worked closely with number of Lidl project managers to meet customer requirements where understanding of the software architecture allowed me to provide out of hours support to our installations engineers during hardware and software upgrades.

My role in Staging include

• Building customers PCs / Epos /Back office systems.
• Installation and configuration of software’s to customer requirements.
• Testing completed systems (hardware / network / switches / software).
• Programming Cisco routers, switches,analogue gateways, AP’s
• Accurate completion of relevant paperwork.
• Provide technical support for installation engineers.
• Working unsupervised, either on my own or as part of a team using my own initiative and meeting tight time scales
• Create a high standard of clear documentation for build and installations
• Managing multiple rollouts all with tight schedules and time scales
• The training new starters in their first job
• Working closely with Business Consultants, Project Managers and the Systems Integration department with the aim to improve good working practices and procedures
• Involvement in the installation process including site visits to improve Staging service to the Field Service Engineers

I worked for a restoration company on behalf of major insurance companies. One of my roles was to check the damaged computer equipment and report my findings of whether it is repairable or has to be renewed. Where possible I tried to repair the item so the client can still use it.

Whilst as technician my tasks included

• Report, restore and repair damaged items for domestic and commercial customers.
• Promote good working relationship with customers, potential customers and fellow staff.
• Perform all allocated duties to set or desired quality standards
• Check the damaged computer equipment and report my findings of whether it is repairable or has to be renewed.
• Repairs and tests of PC’s equipments.
