Software Platform Management Specialist - Software Packaging

Software Packaging Specialist is responsible for deploying software applications in packages helping companies maintain a stable desktop environment. As a member of the building, packaging and installation team I am directly involved with numerous development teams across multiple sites.

At my current position I’m responsible for programming automated installation code that enables a software application or update to be sent electronically to an end-user workstation or device. I’m using a variety of tools to create a software package that replicates the manual install of the application with desired options and settings. I’m performing unit and integration testing of the package to ensure the software will successfully install electronically on the targeted client endpoints.

My duty is also to participate actively in Quality Assurance process to ensure full compliance with global standards and also many client-specific differentations.

Technologies and tools which I'm using in daily routine:
- VBS scripting
- MSI (Windows Installer, Admin Studio, InstEd)
- Windows 7, 8.1 and 10
- VMware Horizon, vSphere and Workstation, VirtualBox
