​Effectively manage the shift team including motivation, performance, development needs and day to day issues in conjunction with the People and Culture Manager/HR Consultant
Drive production to maximised output in an efficient, timely, cost effective manner
Operate the diecasting machines within the factory to optimum output and productivity
Arrange tool changes when required and to plan
Rumble finished products ready to despatch
Produce products to accepted quality standards determined by care points and other relevant standards and record correctly
Record output quantities and distribute reports as appropriate.
Maintain a clean and organised area of work impressing staff and visitors
Comply with all Health and Safety standards in line with the company's policies and procedures and to raise any matters of concern with management
Effectively contribute to the mission, vision and values of PMS Diecasting
Undertaking such other duties as may reasonably be requested by the company from time to time
​To drive productivity through reduced cycle times, increased uptime and maximum cavity efficiency
To drive permanent improvements to quality and Health and Safety standards within the factory
To drive forward lean manufacturing techniques (eg. 5S, TPM, OEE and KPIs measurement)
To assist in coordinating lean manufacturing activities including facilitating continuous improvement meetings and plans
To maintain housekeeping to agreed standards
To identify training needs within the team and ensure completed to correct standard
