Top Emerging Markets team which led the 2011 EUR 4.5bn acquisition of the Polish mobile phone operator Polkomtel. The transaction represented the largest LBO in Europe since 2007 and was awarded the title of ‘2011 EMEA Leveraged Loan of the Year’ by IFR, as well as ‘2011 Leveraged Deal of the Year’ by Euroweek.

Responsible for assisting in client meetings, debt modelling, producing pitch-books and involved in deal execution.

Led a team of co-Analysts in automatising and redesigning a system of producing weekly market updates reducing it from a whole day of work to just few hours.

Execution experience:
Structured and Commodity Finance: US$ 650m Corporate Revolving Facility for Tullow Oil plc. Responsible for analysing the client’s operational model and assisting in completing the banks’ internal approval processes.

• Global Private Equity Fund of Funds, European Gatekeeper of the Year (2010), US$ 128bn in advisory assets
• Supported the Fund Investments Team in investment processes through reviewing and providing recommendations to Investment Committee on 25+ Private Placement Memoranda. Also prepared fund performance reviews and annual meeting notes.
• Used Thomson One and Preqin databases on daily basis.

• Reported directly to the Managing Director EMEA. Responsible for early stage development of Bloomberg Institute and Bloomberg Assessment Test, global products targeted at students pursuing careers in Finance. Created partnerships with student societies and finance departments of top universities to achieve the test intake of 5000 worldwide in 3 months.
• Organised a roadshow in Warsaw, Poland to market the product to universities and major employers (Deutsche Bank, Ernst & Young) in Warsaw which resulted in further collaboration. Reviewed other investment opportunities presented to Bloomberg Ventures.

• Worked in a team auditing companies in energy sector. Clients included both large (World top 5), as well as mid tier firms.
• Responsible for assisting in producing and reviewing financial statements. Was often based on clients’ offices and maintained constant contact with finance teams in order to reconcile financial results. All projects finished before official deadlines.
• Participated in a group project on UK budget deficit concluded with a presentation. Received positive feedback.

• Worked in a team on building National Transport Model, a network of econometric models designed dot forecast pollution and congestion in the UK for the next 25 years. Also responsible for providing external and internal users of the model with help on interpreting its results.
• Completed an individual project on measuring the error of the model. Presented progress of the graphical and numerical analysis on regular team meetings. Contributed to improving performance of the model.
• Developed operating knowledge of advanced Excel formulas and options through both everyday work and set of training sessions.

• A venture capital firm operating in the field of early stage internet companies.
• Conducted market research projects on internet-based business models, as well as assessment of business plans and analysis of potential of start-up investments.
