Main – To ensure that the Conference and Banqueting department operates efficiently ensuring maximum profitably while maintaining the company reputation and ethos. To assist the Conference & Banqueting Manager with the business performance and team structure as well as maintaining high standards of food, service, and health and safety.
Service – Work closely with Heads of Department and Venues Managers eg MCC and Hotel Food and Beverage Manager, to set the standards of service of our department and constantly monitor to ensure consistency; ensure that the service offered by all team members is personal and memorable; That guest needs are anticipated and requests followed up; Build relationships with guests, ensuring that they want to return to QHotels; Assist with Duty Manager cover of the hotel; Demonstrate excellent standards to the team and train and develop as required to ensure all standards are adhered to; Work with sales team to ensure that guest service levels and expectations are maximized; Ensure all functions maintain a first class and positive visual impact; Stay abreast of applicable liquor laws and hotel rules; Act as an ambassador for the QHotels brand at all times and to ensure Group values are upheld to both external and internal contacts, through appropriate behavior and performance

Business Activities – Taking responsibility for the business performance of the restaurant; analyzing and planning restaurant sales levels and profitability; organizing marketing activities, such as promotional events and discount schemes; preparing reports at the end of the shift/week, including staff control, food control and sales; creating and executing plans for department sales, profit and staff development; setting budgets and/or agreeing them with senior management; planning and coordinating menus.

Keep portable Bars clean at all times, help take trolleys full of dishes to kitchen area, always works in a quiet, orderly fashion so as not to disturb meetings that are in progress, ensures Banquet check list is completed on a daily basis, performs any other duties as required by management to ensure customer service, set-up all meeting rooms as per customer requests, clean out rooms at end of function and re-set rooms for next function, refresh all rooms during lunch break, ensure all Banquet rooms and storage areas are clean at all times and kept in proper condition according to company standards
