My role as a Job Placement Officer Involves:
• Building strong relationships with local employers by understanding their needs, identifying open and prospect job vacancies and then placing suitable candidates to these roles
• Cold calling and reverse marketing jobseekers to employers
• Assisting candidates with interview techniques and resume building
• Helping candidates build up their confidence and determination to ensure they are job ready
• Developing business relationships with employers and networking with community groups
• Pre-screening candidates, interviewing, phone screening and briefing candidates on suitable positions
• Conducting all recruitment services for employers from the beginning till end
• Maintaining knowledge of labour market trends
• Ensuring strict compliance with Government legislation
• Supporting employers and job seekers post placement
• Organising appropriate interventions and strategies to help candidates find and maintain employment
• Achieving performance targets and business goals
• Driving job clubs and employer events
• Working part of a close knit team
