P.S. Tzarich lomar: "le-chaim, mazal tov ve-shana metukah" (לחיים, מזל טוב ושנה מתוקה.). Ulam, "mazal tov" lo meachlim be-chagim, "shana tova u-metukah" meachlim rak ka'asher ochlim dvash (zot omeret, alef be-tishrei).

אולם, יש אולי מקום לרגישות יתר כשמאחלים שנה טובה בינואר בפורום המוקדש לשפה העברית?

הדבר נמשל לאיחולי ברכות לפולני בחג המולד האורתודוקסי.
נ.ב. "אבל בשבילי את ראש השנה ..." - צריך לומר: "אבל עבורי ראש שנה הוא ..."
1) שימוש במילה "את" מעביר פעולה אל המושא ("אקוסטיב"), וכאן אין זה המקרה (ז"א כאן נדרש "נומינטיב").
2) פרוש המילה "בשביל" מכיל תכלית או כוונה (באנגלית:
"for the sake of"),
וכאן אין זה המקרה.
3) בביטוי "ראש שנה" אין צורך בה' הידיעה משום שאינך מתכוונת לומר כי רק השנה ראש שנה הוא בינואר (אלא שכל שנה הוא בינואר).

How is your English (I hope much better than my Polish)?I only corrected your Hebrew, and explained why. I thought it may be helpful if you are trying to learn Hebrew.
Also, I suggested that New Year in January may be a sensitive issue in this forum.
What do you do for living? - I tried to understand that from your profile, but GoldenLine is not a good place to understand who people really are.

I only corrected your Hebrew, and explained why. I thought it may be helpful if you are trying to learn Hebrew.
I didn't get your answer as an offence and i truly appreciate it.
The truth is that i used to learn Hebrew ( during my studies) but that was about 4 years ago ( i'd been learning this language for 2 years- a little) so my grammar or vocabulery aren't perfect.
But I wish i could understand Hebrew songs, i could communicate in this language not just to know how to read sth or how to discuss about some basic topics.

lately i've been searching for a new job so that's why i've been checking GLforums just to kill the time and surprisingly to get to know some interesting and fascinating people.
