Job description
Eclipse SDK is a well known software development environment and its components are also a base for many IBM products from Websphere Server to Lotus Notes 8 and Rational Application Developer.
We are looking for a self-motivated developer who, as a member of the Eclipse development team, will be responsible for developing and maintaining of Eclipse 3.x components as well as for working on the new 4.0 version of the platform.
This position requires solid understanding of fundamental computer science principals, including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, etc.
Every team member is responsible for aspects of design, development, maintenance, testing, documentation, and open source community interaction. Candidates must be well rounded and willing to dive into any facet of the development process required to ship great software on schedule and with the highest quality.
Required
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
Experience in Java Development and Object Oriented Software Design
Fluent English
Team work and communication skills
Preferred
Experience in Eclipse development
Experience in using unit tests (JUnit)
Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, JScript, Servlets, Ajax)
Experience in Linux, Windows, Mac OS X administration
