Steve, when you serdecznie polecasz, you are doing that from the depth of your heart. you like it so so much that you wish everyone had a chance to experience the same feeling.
if you just polecasz, you know it's just fine but there is nothing special with it.
is that clear?

Hmmm... Steve, if you 'serdecznie polecasz'... I think you recommend sth and you rather know it very well...

You can 'serdecznie polecić'... for instance a good film, play, concert, rock group etc.

I think Steve needs no explanation, whether it would be from the bottom of your heart, or the very top :)
More like looking for recommendations, such as which apple juice goes with Żubrówka, what the best spice for flaki is, and whether Chłopskie Jadło is something that people recommend serdecznie or nieserdecznie.

So I serdecznie polecam a local restaurant here, called Tatiana :) (I'm dead serious)

I think this serdecznie/ nieserdecznie is very subjective. personally, I wouldn't polecac serdecznie which apple juice to buy. I would polecac it only. I would polecac serdecznie the place where to go for holidays or the best Salsa teacher / personal coach :-D

And I like one more verb in Polish... and that is: "Zapraszamy".

I installed WinXP SP2 PL OEM as a 2nd boot the other day, and Windows greeted me with a "Zapraszamy". I felt like I'm in the verge of having a Zapiekanka or Pierogi.
