선풍기 아줌마 - Sun p'unggi ajumma (The Standing Fan Lady). She's been famous for some time. My girlfriend just told me about her, as I was going to show her how Koreans get hooked to plastic surgeries. Was it more that 50%? God dammit. She even appears in Korean Encyclopaedia...

This is what really gets me with stories like this one. What happened to doctors with a conscious? I mean, being a doctor means taking care of your patience and doing whatever you can to make them better not worst… isn’t it against the oath?
As a doctor, wouldn’t you rather refuse to add on to this poor ladies misery? I don’t get it, I really don’t.

A doctor.

The onus on priests as spiritual leaders of unpure folk is to be pure. They're not, actually far from that.
A doctor should take care of her patients and make sure everything is done to heal or relieve pain.
Another fail.

It all boils down to mo' bro.

Korea's depraved when it comes to "beauty". With them it's not skin deep. It's human deep. Not to generalize, but news like this one just makes you think it all over again.

Maybe the doc just wanted to make her happy and his purse full. What's a big deal about health anyway? Crazy.
