Temat: Winners in a low carbon economy – WWF Workshop on...
Workshop held by Dennis Pamlin, Global Policy Advisor, WWF Date:March 25, 2009, time: 6-8 p.m. Venue: Warsaw School of Economics
(SGH), main building, room 152
The Challenge
A report by former Chief Economist of the World Bank, Sir Nicholas
Stern, estimates that we have less than ten years to avoid dangerous
climate change. To do this, we need to fundamentally transform the
global infrastructure creating a low carbon economy where we reduce
our reliance on fossil fuels in a short time.
A possible solution?
In his workshop, Dennis Pamlin, Global Policy Advisor at WWF, will
outline the dimensions of this challenge and how it can be addressed
through sustainability-driven innovation. Dennis will provide an
insight into his work with companies around the world and will show
how business can become a winner in a low-carbon economy. During the
session you will have a chance to work in small groups to identify
future events or developments that put current services at risk and
how sustainable innovation could address such situations.
Submit your ideas on Sustainable Innovation!
Dennis wants to inspire you, the leaders of tomorrow, to start
thinking differently about the role you can play in developing
solutions for tomorrow’s challenges. His presentation is part of a
series of events to promote the Ashridge Sustainable Innovation
