Witam

Czy wie ktoś może jak wygląda sprawa obowiązkowego szkolenia CXA-300-1 (jeden z wymogów uzyskania CCAA).
Słyszałem, że uczestnicząc w tym szkoleniu dostaje się voucher pozwalający na przystąpienie do A08.
Z drugiej strony, chcąc uzyskać CCEE for Virtualization wymagany jest tylko egzamin A08 (ani słowa o szkoleniu) dodatkowo wspomniane jest że CCAA nie jest wymagane, tylko A08 egzamin (jako jeden z wymogów).

Czy mogę, więc przystąpić do egzaminu A08 bez szkolenia?
Dokładając do tego egzamin A15 uzyskałbym CCEE a później za uczestnictwo w szkoleniu dostałbym od razu CCAA?

Mam nadzieję, że nie namieszałem za bardzo.

Czytałem ten wątek. Jest tu informacja, że do CCEE szkolenie nie jest wymagane:

"If you would like to achieve an advanced certification, but are not interested in attending the CXA-3001I ILT course, we recommend the Citrix Certified Enterprise Engineer (CCEE) for Virtualization which will be available in Q4 of this year. Achieving the CCEE does not require CXA-3001I ILT course attendance"

Ale z drugiej strony słyszałem, że żeby przystąpić do A08 potrzebny jest voucher, który dostanę na szkoleniu.
Trochę błędne koło.

Potrzebujesz voucher ktory dostepny jest w materialach szkoleniowych :-(

czytaj odpowiedz od Citrix_Education, masz 3 wymagania:

"The CCAA for Citrix XenApp 5.0 for Windows 2008 certification is achieved through successful completion of three requirements:

* 1. A05 Implementing Citrix XenApp 5.0 for Windows Server 2008 or the 259 Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 and XenApp 5.0 for Windows Server 2003: Administration exam
* 2. A08 Advanced Administration for Citrix XenApp 5.0 for Windows Server 2008 exam
* 3. Attendance of the CXA-300-1I Advanced Administration for Citrix XenApp 5.0 for Windows Server 2008 course

Regarding the third requirement:

* The class is targeted towards entry to mid-level administrators who wish to build towards an engineer level certification status and certify that they have completed a formal Citrix training class.
* Attendance of the class is tracked through completion of CXA-300-SR Advanced Administration for Citrix XenApp 5.0 for Windows Server: Online Student Resources. This course is only accessible via a voucher provided in manuals of the instructor led class and is not available standalone."

Dla CCAA zgadza się. Są 3 wymogi:
- CCA
- szkolenie CXA-300-1
- egzamin A08

Ale dla CCEE wymagania sa następujące:

Szkolenie CXA-300-1 jest tylko sugestią (prepare with) a nie wymogiem. Dodatkowo CCAA nie jest wymagane, żeby uzyskać CCEE.

Czyżby voucher z materiałów szkoleniowych był tylko dowodem na uczestniczenie w szkoleniu, które jest wymagane tylko dla certyfikatu CCAA a egzamin A08 można zrobić bez szkolenia?

Wydaje mi się, że znalazłem odpowiedź.

Dla zainteresowanych:

Q I took CXA-300-1I and passed exam A08. Why isn't my status as a CCAA for XenApp 5 for Windows Server 2008 reflected in Certification Manager?
A To complete participation in a training course, a student must also access the related online student resources. Using the voucher code provided in the courseware manual, log into the Citrix Learning Management system to access the online student resources for CXA-300-1I. Upon completion, you will be awarded your certification.

Q Do I need to complete the CCAA for XenApp 5 for Windows Server 2008 to attain the CCEE for Virtualization?
A No. While two of the requirements for the CCAA are also required for the CCEE, the training course requirement (CXA-300-1I) is not required for the CCEE for Virtualization.

Czyli voucher ze szkolenia CXA-300-1I jest wymagany tylko po to, żeby uzyskać dostęp do jakiś zasobów online.

Egzamin A08 można zdawać bez szkolenia.
