If someone would talk down on your work or achievements?

I might be offended by any of these actually, Bernd.
It's quite easy in my case.

As a matter of fact I removed the pics of the popes as offensive for the sake of the general audience who will never tell you they were offended. They'd rather inform Arvind or report it to the press.

At what point would you snap? Or draw the line?
If we meet you'll learn that very fast;)

I would ignore it unless I loved that someone very much and he did it on purpose to hurt me.

Things like that just don't happen to me :) I don't know..

I'd just smile probably, have no inferiority complex.

I don't have idols, I have my own religion which is incomprehensive to my relatives not to mention my friends.
Nobody laughs, though..

Really never happened, I have no idea, I'd probably just say: "Are you serious, man ?"

Without doubt, the smiling response is the correct one. If you insult someone you want a reaction, just to see whether the words hit home or not. If the recipient of the insult simply doesn't respond, the one who insults loses.
I do that often. It's not about who wins and who loses in my case - I'm simply not a fan of escalation of aggression.

I guess with me it's just 'watch and learn'.

Example: there's this guy work, known for having a short fuse and generally anger management problems. No 'people skills' whatsoever either. Very 'nazi-like' behavior. A mate of mine has had rows with him on a regular basis ever since he joined the company (6 months now). The thing kept escalating; it got as far as the HR dept. My mate was told that if it should't stop, he'd be fired; the other guy had a chat with his line manager. Now as you walk in the office you can literally chop the air - that's how dense it is (and no, no one's farting in the office).

The 'nazi' boy has tried a similar approach with me, so far without luck. I just do my thing, try to limit any contacts with the guy to the necessary minimum. If I survive him without snapping, I'll survive anything.

Well, all these could offend me or leave me totally indifferent. It all depends on the context. I am not particularly touchy about any of the things you mentioned, but it’s not like I can take everything without blinking an eye. Making fun to make people laugh is harmless, but telling cruel “jokes” with an intention to offend – well, that could hurt. Especially if it was done by someone I care about and who knows me well.

PS: What else could there be out there to offend people?
You name it. People can get offended by anything you say or do. Just wait and see :)

The false Michal B is presumably none other than the giant venomous she-anteater herself.

I believe she blames Michal for the fact that one of her sock puppets mysteriously developed a life of its own. But she has mistaken the identity of the one with mysterious powers who made the cheerful Cockney chappie David Benton start biting its puppet mistress.
