On a serious note: I would rather not discuss my relationships.

You may not, but others would appear to feel differently.

I regard the anglosphere group as one large group therapy session.

Adam has already courageously unburdened himself on the rather taboo subject of mother-in-law sex.

I believe he needs all our help and encouragement to make further disclosures of a private and personal nature.

the only thing I won't talk about is anything I may or may not have done which may or may not in any way have broken the law.

That's it. The rest is fair game. Of course, I may not feel like contributing to Jarek's Deep Dark Fantasies thread or Adam's Mothers I've Shagged thread... but they may be entertaining and interesting for others to contribute to!

a friend of mine told me recently (a manager in a large company) that when visiting some other friends of hers people asked her about how much she earns, she was horrified!

If I was ever asked a similar question, my answer would be:

1. I make enough.
2. What's enough for me may not be enough for you.
3. And vice versa.

I see. :)

Well, answers could be very different to that famous question ("How much do you earn?")
But yes, it is not a sweet question to shoot or to answer.

If one is a freelancer like me, answer can be easy. If not, you have the freedom to say "enough", "not as much as I'd like to", "good enough", "bad enough to leave my work" etc.

Let the question shooter think about the rest :)

Additionally, there's no single risk/chance that the conversation will continue or a debate will rise from the question.
I mean, how far can you go with that type of question?
