Tbh, I can't take the idea of a woman battering a man all that horrifying.It's a form of humiliation rather than brutality.
An ex (Polish) girlfriend of mine once threw glass at me, badly cutting my leg open. As she was about half my size, (about five feet tall), it was hard to take seriously. I couldn't ever imagine seriously complaining about this to anyone.
I don't understand this present day squeamishness towards any form of physical violence.

Interesting article, Anna.So, there are still more men who are violent jerks than women who are violent witches. I think in both cases, the victims have to draw the line early on and be consistent. If their partners do not stop the violence, there are legal ways to make them stop (of course, I understand the fears and the shame associated with calling the Police or letting someone know, but it's a BETTER CHOICE than not doing anything).
The article mentions alcohol being one of the major factors in most of the battery cases. I agree. Again, life is about choices. My own father died at the age of 38 at a drinking party, and to this day we don't know whether he was pushed down the steep case of stair or fell down. If people choose to get totally drunk and be in the company of other totally drunk people whose reactions they're not aware of - that's making a choice. Living with a violent man is a choice. Living with a violent woman is a choice. Some people have more courage to do something about their circumstances, others don't. What can we do? Aleksandra,To get such a card we need to:
- love our wives and children and cherish the time we spend with them more than we cherish the time we spend with our buddies;
- be men of integrity and honor;
- be men who do not leave their families behind to "make more money" and substitute holding our kids and talking to them with sending them expensive gifts from abroad;
- be men who work hard and are honest at our workplaces;

I was not. I may have been spanked as a toddler for playing with an electrical outlet that scared my mom or something, but nothing memorable.
