I trust the government to work like I trust my toaster to work. Most people here take their rights for granted to such an extent that they never learn them thouroughly because they will never need to know them. We have remedies when we do.

Unfortunately that's the main problem. Right now the gov't is no longer supporting your rights as an individual but instead it's taking care of the rights of those with the most mula. Yes, I know, I'm not reinventing the wheel here, but at this point it's gotten to the point of nonsense. There are laws that could put you in prison for publicly criticizing the food industry, there are laws that put farmers out of business because they refuse to use Monsanto products, there are laws that decide if you should get certain treatment thus deciding your faith. Why is it that the number of new prisons in some states outgrow the numbers of new schools?
People are the ones who vote these individuals in yet once in office, things change drastically [of course that's only if you are still disillusioned and think that your individual vote matters at all, soon this illusion will be completely dropped due to the recent development and "improvements" in the US voting scheme http://articles.latimes.com/2009/sep/10/nation/na-cour... ]

It's one thing when you are a well off individual, possibly old money, or come from a nice family able to send you out for proper education etc etc... it's a whole different story when... well, you're the other 90% of the nation.

I'm gonna take it in chunks, Raf. I sure as hell am. It looks good. I'm waiting here or there for 15 minutes or 90 all the time. So I'm grateful. :)

cripwalking or C-walk, not really a dance... but it was turned into a dance routine by those who simply don't know any better. It's a series of moves and signs which represent where you're from and who you run with. Not really something that they'd teach you in your average dance classroom hehe...

actually right now the US is being flooded with the Mexican cartels as well as the most notorious south American gang MS13 Mara Salvatrucha from El Salvadore. It's the most brutal and violent gang in the world. It's members are hardened criminals and ex-gorilla fighters from Salvadore. They are now present in most states and most South American countries. It's a completely different war that the US police must wage at this point. MS13 is the main rival of the Mexican version La Eme, both are running rampart in the streets of all major cities in the US causing some serious havoc.

Rock on, fascist Arizona.

(The other day Arizona passed a law that requires cops to demand documentation from anyone they think is living or working there in breach of the immigration laws. There is a low level "grrr" rising toward uproar, and groups that want people to boycott Arizona are organizing. Boycott the Grand Canyon, for example).
