When it comes to UFC, I'd have to say GSP or Rampage...

K1 - it must be Iron Mike he is unreal!!! Being a short guy myself, watching this vid gives me goose bumps haha... so much fire power inside of a small dude like him...

I'm a lover not a fighter :))) but I saw immediately how to beat that guy. His own mother wouldn't recognize him. One of my teammates watches this and I always tell him...

Okay, I'll tell.

First, my gloves wouldn't be laced, and the laces would be concealed in my palms and waxed. When they go to center ring to slap gloves, he has his hands to his sides...a no no.

Fling off the gloves whip his eyes with the laces, bite his nose off and spit it back in his face. Done. Never even got dirty :)

What? against the rules you say? There is even one single rule?Then don't call it ultimate fighting. :)

(I'm joking R., I know it's a very popular sport)

actually K1 has a lot of pretty strict rules. Ultimate fighting as well... Pride was as close as one can get to no rules, but UFC bought them out and now... well... the usual watered down b.s.

I'm not into fighting, but I was into martial arts when younger (who wasn't) did a bit of Tae Kwon Do, I liked TKD because it was more of a sport, plus the fact that more than 70% of it is foot work based is pretty cool and makes it very different from other styles.

I am not a big fan, as in do not watch all the time and do go crazy about it, but I must admit that I enjoy it quite a bit :)

He's fun to watch, I have to tell you thou, I have absolutly no faith in his skills when it comes to stepping up to some real fighters in either the octagon or the PRIDE ring. So far he's faced some washed up fighters.

Yeah, he is a proper Bad Boy, but as you said a fairly good (read "big") Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighter could show him a way to his basket ;)

Yea.. at this point Jiu Jistsu Brazilian or otherwise is a fundamental skill in fighting. Majority of fighters (or those who actually try to make a career out of it) train JJ. It is far superior to Judo or Wrestling and knowing it is most of the time the difference between getting your nose kicked it or winning. Most fights these days end with either a "rear naked choke", "triangle choke", "arm bar" or "kimura". I have seen a very impressive "ten finger choke" during a light weight fight not too long ago too, but for most part it's the other 5 that dominate in submission victories. Still nothing like a good ol' KO thou. Last weekend one of the fighters broke a UFC record and KO'ed his opponent in 8 seconds.

Yea... Kimbo is a very two dimensional fighter, with not much going for him with the exception of some boxing skills... he's been training with Bas Rautten but I am not sure if that will help .. he is not at his prime anymore... people his age should retire and not try to start their career.

You mean Rutten? Well, he has retired already and he's a coach right now. Though it's not working very well for him. And Kimbo is just 34, he's not that old. He is a talentless bum though. ;]

Still... this is how it often happens in the MMA.
Kimbo's opponent was supposed to be Ken Shamrock but he got injured just a few hours before the fight. Gary Shaw (EliteXC promoter) took Seth Petruzelli (a light-heavyweight!!!) from the preliminary card and told him to fight Slice. Seth later said in an interview that he was "hinted" to "stand up" and not grapple with Slice. The promoter wanted Kimbo to knock out a "can" to please the public. However his plan backfired and Kimbo's fans were in for a big upset that night.
In the end EliteXC went bankrupt and ceased to exist, partly because they bet everything on Slice and partly because of the "rigged fights" controversy.

That KO was a typical "lucky dip" I think. I did not like that fight at all, and I bet Kimbo will crave for revenge ;)

PS. That does not mean I think he is a skilled fighter at all!

I don't want to be rude or anything but IMHO both Fight Quest and Human Weapon are extremely shallow, biased, unscientific and dumbed down for the American public.
