It's funny though how kids love the strangest tastes. My son will refuse a ham or cheese sandwich, but loves lettuce with French dressing and lots of garlic, pasta with spinach (the secret recipe calls for ground walnuts), and zucchini.

That's one of my offspring! The only reason to feel sorry for him is that he's got me as a father. As for the marmite, he's loving it!!

As for starving kids: I was once asked to have a private conversation with one of Peter's teachers at preschool. Subject: a starved child. Evidence: Peter, who hates sandwiches of any sort, would refuse them at breakfast (and they do have fancy ones, with lettuce, tomato, two kinds of cheese and ham etc.) on the grounds of "mommy never gives me breakfast at home and all I have is a glass of water". Kids.

haha.. man.. My friend’s son got in trouble one time and he got yelled and and spanked, it was right around Christmas, so at school, one of the assignments was to write out a wish to Santa. His kid wrote “I wish my dad wouldn’t beat me anymore”…
Heh… Police, child care and everyone you can imagine came out of the woodwork. He had child care people come and make sure his child was ok for months after.
Kids… can’t wait ‘till my can tell the teacher that… jeezus… possibilities are endless.

Or, when the grandma (always wanting to know if I was raising HER GRANDSON properly) asked him what it was like at school:
"I don't know, the missus tied us to them chairs".

Or, to a nosy neighbor asking where his daddy was (my son was about two then) as she never saw the daddy:
"He's in Warsaw. He goes there to drink beer."
