Hi everyone,
I am currently writing my BA thesis on "nationality phrases" in English and the linguistic picture of the world. I would be extremely grateful if you could contribute to my study by filling in the survey. The online survey takes less than two minutes to complete. Thanks a lot in advance!

Actually, I don't want to suggest anything to anybody before filling in the survey, but assuming that you have already filled it in, I'll explain briefly:

- I am collecting English expressions containing names of nationalities together with their meanings and I am creating a picture of selected nationalities on the basis of these expressions
- I am comparing what I found with what respondents said in the survey about selected nationalities
- I am trying to make conclusions about "secondary reality" (the so called linguistic picture of the world, to be precise the picture of nationalities in English language). Such a picture is rooted in every community speaking the same language (however with Welsh, Scottish and Irish people it is a bit complicated but I don't want to go into details) and is passed on from generation to generation.
