O.K. maybe the LA dude was thinking of Los Angeles only? (you know how freakin hot is it there till September..)

SO, yeah - now tell me when is the best time to see NY and how much is it different from visiting LA (weather/events/parties)?

haha... see I can hardly be objective. We say in NY - you can't spell lame with out LA hahaha...

I can tell you everything you want to know about NYC… but firstly you’d have to tell me what it is that you are looking for. Everyone is different and NYC is the type of city where everyone will find what they are looking for.
If you like grunge, grime and rock n roll… no problem… if you like posh restaurants, fancy hotels and nights out on town with champagne and sushi… no problem.
Museums, art exhibits, music events, clubs, lounges bars… it’s the city that never sleeps you know.
Reason why summer is much better.. well the main reason is, if you like to just hang out outside till wee morning hours, there are millions of places in NYC where you can grab a seat somewhere and enjoy the view after everything shuts down… you can bar/club/lounge hop all week long and not worry about being cold and wet.

Man... best pizza... I live in a VERY Italian neighborhood. The thing is… most places are not very consistent when it comes to quality; you really have to time it right but they do make awesome thin crust. In Brooklyn and Queens there are scores of amazing pizza places…

Yeah, that's true. The place in Canterbury was also run by Italians and the guy who served us spoke Italian to us.:) Everything there was imported from Italy: wine, mineral water, I suppose the pizza ingredients as well...
The place was recommended in the guidebook and the recommendation was fully deserved.
Another funny thing was that on my first trip to Italy, many years ago, I was very surprised to discover that the pizzas I had eaten in Poznań tasted better than those I was eating in Italy. :)

Well, there are some secret ingredients that can enhance the taste.

What are we supposed to do with patisons?

Obrazek

I'm always confused when I see them in the fruit and veg section. Always felt the urge to buy one but never quite sure what happens next..

Has anyone else ever had a similar vegetable crisis?

I'm hopeless. You are allowed to beat me on the head with a gherkin on Friday.

Temat: Steve and his ... vegetables

For some unknown reason I usually confuse a celery with a leek

I will!

But only if you first identify it correctly as a fruit or vegetable!

I'll ask Steve to help me out. If he doesn't, I'll beat him with one as well. Kinky, eh?
