One of my acquaintances told me that more and more women are seeking a surgical procedure that modifies their foot structure so that they are better able to tolerate some of those stratospheric heels. There can be rare complications, including arthritis down the road. At LEAST. It's not easy. Some women have even ended up deformed.

Does that seem like a far fetched thing to do for shoes? I guess they're doing it.

I like shoes but not that much ;) I prefer flats because my feet don't like high heels very much. For sure nothing more than 8cm :)

Like you said, impossible to answer. There was that film where a guy became a lady and started thinking like a woman and stuff. He would know.
