It's quite simple.
If it's true, we're f*cked, and we don't have to bother. I'm not going to look for people running naked, giving head, or sth.

Altho, I do have some doubts, since all the websites telling that story are made by random guys in their parents' basements. Also, I don't really get the whole reasoning process, that leads to the conclusion of the world being doomed.

As for the calendar going only as far as 2012 my theory is presented by this short dialogue:

Priest 1: What are you doing?
Priest 2: Still on that calendar project.
Priest 1: What year are you on?
Priest 2: 2012.
Priest 1: Why the fk would you go that far?
Priest 2: Oh, screw that. Let's get some beer and go see the sacrifice today.
Priest 1: Is this a come-on?
...

...and so on.

I reckon there might be a mild stir akin to the millennium bug - I'm sure people will pick up on it as we go. A cult or two might arise, compelling people to commit mass suicide. And then, 21 Dec will come and pass, followed by the 22 Dec, etc, etc. By Xmas Day people will have forgotten about the whole thing.

Shouldn't that be for the year 2013?
I need to be able to keep track of the crazy things I'm doing in 2012. Hence the need for the calendar of 2012. I prefer Playboy or FHM type of calendar for that year though.

you're wrong informed Andrzej. it'll be either on 12 or 21 at 12.00 a.m. and don't ask me why there are two different dates.
what I'm thinking about is the time. when it's 12.00 in London, in Warsaw is 1.00. so what time will it be exactly?
