I agree...the referee was sold :/ The penalty kick was definitely unfair...wrrr. Artur Boruc was irreplaceable at this match and at the beginning of the game he was actually the only one, who was playing properly. Bravo for him!

With the stakes so high and the difficulty of making the decisions also high (come on, we are all experts sat at home watching slowed down replays on TV, but being a linesman/referee is SO easy) it would be easier to scrap offside. That would prevent a lot of rather unsporting whinging every weekend and also make the game more exciting I reckon.

It seems the obvious thing to do.
England would probably have one the rugby world cup had it not been for video replays, (a try ruled invalid by the fourth official).
Unfortunately using video technology led to a five minute delay in this final because, ridiculously, the French tv technicians didn't speak English, nor the match official French.
