1. What would you be spending your time on now if not on GL?

I would pay all my attention to volleyball match which I'm looking at now and read magazines from the whole week.
2. Imagine that suddenly the net and tv are off for a year or more - what do you do then?

I wouldn't write answers to such great questions.

3. How many people are you dependent on are how many depend on you? Who are they?

I'm totally independent!

4. How much do you read a year and what's that?

two or three books a year, a lot of magazines (especially about travelling), newspapers, and lots of e-mails!

5. Are you always yourself? Elaborate on that one, pleeeeease :)

I try to be,but the problem is that I don't know myself well that's why it's hard to tell if it's real me or not:(

3.keep telling myself that I am dependent on no one, but wife and kids are always there close to me.
4.as much as I can. recenlty WAB terra incognita series - higly recommended
5yeah, what is the choice? Sometimes I remain silent though.

Working, meeting friends, reading books, writing, spending time with my family.

But seriously, I would be reading a book probably, or practising my dutch, maybe go for a walk...

Thank whoever for that! ;)) I would finally have time to wash the dishes and do the laundry! ;P
I would have more time for myself, for more sightseeing, reading, walking, excercising... there is a lot of stuff I could and would do then.

I think now I depend only on my boyfriend and hope its at least a bit the other way around too... my family is too far, so cannot really depend on them...
4. How much do you read a year and what's that?
Lately not much... need to buy new books, have read all I have at home... Sorry, I lied, I have one unread, but it's in dutch (my colleagues bought it for me, still gathering myself to read it).
But I have to start reading more again, e-mails don't count ;)

Trying to. Gained more confidence during last year, which means I care less about waht people think, so I am more myself than before (well, I was myself then as well, but I was more quiet and careful).

As for TV – not a big deal, I hardly watch it anyway. Cutting the net off would probably cause some nasty symptoms though. I would have to find myself some kind of activity that would keep me very busy.

Tatiana’s answer goes for me too. I mean, there are people I would miss desperately if they suddenly disappeared from my life, but I am not dependant on anyone. I don’t let others become dependant on me, either.

I read a lot. A lot. Books, papers, magazines, CVs, covering letters, manuals, dictionaries, etc.

Tricky question, when you think of it. Right after I read it I wanted to write ”No, not always”, but then I started to dig deeper and changed my mind.
Even when I pretend or hide my real thoughts or feelings, it is still me; me pretending, hiding, etc. And since I don’t have split personality - sure, I am always myself. Who else could I be?

I'm a staunch anti-TV guy, but when I think about it I guess I watch more than I admit. I just don't watch the advertising stuff. Internet? I would muddle through.

Yes, at least I try to. This causes many problems bacause people do not usually like you that much when you are yourself. But this also reveals who does accept you, as yourself and who don't and then leave.

Nothing particular would change for me - I'm not net-o-holic, I don't watch TV.

I try (I wish I could) not to be dependent on anyone, but it's almost impossible these days ;) (somebody has to bake rolls, grow tomatos which I buy in the shop, repair my shoes etc.)
I think, what I do influences people in different ways (maybe also make them dependend on me, who knows?).

Travel and read more.

Well. Having read so many answers about being independent I'd say I don't know. As long as I understand independence as 'die without' then I'm not dependent although emotionally I'd die without my two men - son and husband. And without my friend, Ania.
4. How much do you read a year and what's that?
As I wrote my MA thesis on Gothic literature (Stoker) and the infatuation with horrors somehow stayed in me I read some carefully selected spooky stories. Lately - Magdalena Kozak (a brilliant writer!)... and.. shame shame on me - Stephenie Meyer - poor language and novel structure but a good idea for a story...
Besides, I read all the books I bought when I had to read horrors only. Currently Emil Zola (just because it was in Gazeta Wyborcza collection and I promised to myself I'd read them all) - occurred to be quite good.

I'd agree with Lidia and Ola P. I'm not always the same, I act and pretend - but still I think this is me.

TV - I don't really care. Net - it would be a problem at the beginning (not being able to watch 'House MD'-nooo!). Well, but I would have even more time for polishing my car;))). What do I do then? I read more, learn Spanish, do yoga, exercise.

I'm more dependent on my father than on my mother.
I need him very much and it's because of the strong bond between us. My father and my boyfriend depend on me.I guess my younger brother does too, a little bit.

I'm a Gemini - there are 'MES' not 'ME'. Each one is so cool that I can't decide on one and I keep them all:). They all create one person who is able to fit into every situation.

I can live without tv. I guess I'd have problems to get used to life without the internet. What would I do? I'd survive anyway, for sure.
