Temat: Paintings we like!

Here's the first one: La Danse de la Vie by Munch.

I like it because it makes me wonder... The two women on either side, one in white, one in black... are they twins? Why are they alone? I like the lecherous old man to the right of the couple in the middle. The way the moon hovers above the water... The title of the painting itself: the dance of life. It's all a metaphor... Is life a dance? Sometimes you're in tune, stepping the steps with someone else... sometimes you're left on the sidelines wondering what it's all about...

I hesitated between something by Alfons Mucha, Klimt and Wyspianski.

I love this one too! Among modern artists my fav is Andy Warhol and I love his works on the pictures of famous people like M. Monroe, Kafka etc. His idea of adding to those pics the extra touch of paint or colour or shape is just awsome! Here's M. Monroe:
