They still have them on the Rynek in Krakow! Moschops was a Cosgrove/Hall dinosaur who had five-minute adventures on TV eveery day after school.

Remember reading about scientists being able to digitally encode sound and store it by burning the pattern on a metallic disc, for it to be played back using a laser? I was blown away at the time.

They still have them on the Rynek in Krakow!
I wanna go to Krakow! (no stalking, I promise!)
Remember reading about scientists being able to digitally encode sound and store it by burning the pattern on a metallic disc, for it to be played back using a laser? I was blown away at the time.
And I remember watching Star Trek and wow'ing at their portable comunication devices, that strangely resemble the cell phones we use today.

Jarocin Festival. It was the emblem of Polish alternetive culture of the 1980's. I was too young to go there when it was rough enough to be attractive and then it grew milder and milder (and more commercial) towards its end some time in the early 90's.

Yes! I was so upset when they passed away.
Kurek and Kaminski were unreal! I spent so many hours as a kid in front of the TV watching their show. What really sucks is that TVP actually erased most of the recordings, so they are lost for ever.

I liked them even more than Muppet Show ;)

And a little curiosity - Fraggle Rock was Piotr Adamczyk's ("polish ornithology pope", as called in "Testosteron";D) artistic debute - he dubbed Junior Gorg and Sprocket the dog. And curiosity no. 2 - remember "Captain Planet and the Planeteers"? Adamczyk was Wheeler ;)

There was a board game based on American football strategies that my brothers and I used to play as boys during the longer winter evenings. I made a little bit of an effort to try to find it by various instrumentalisations over Christmas so I could buy it as a gift for one of them, but without success.

I would have paid whatever :)
