I promised myself I would be less pessimistic and listen to Dave Andrew more. He's a smart man.

I wanted to break free from the company I used to work for, and I managed.
I promised myself to make sure my love life was as smooth as a baby's butt cheek, and I failed.
Both changes were actually good.

I've read somewhere that the best time to make any kinds of resolutions and plans for major changes is post-vacation time. That's due to a new energy that holidays bring.

well, it's notihing special to me.it's just like every other resolution - if you take steps to fulfill it, you don't need New Year for it, do you?
it's good for all those lazy asses there, I suppose, to actually THINK about the things, which they want to improve or avoid.

Let me explain essence of NYR:
have you ever seen/heard about sth like that?
Goal (Smart) -> Plan -> Priorytize -> Do -> Control -> Goal etc
SMART= Specific, Measurable, Achivable, Relevant, Time bounded
If you have a goal (which is SMART) then you can control your achievements. Journey without a goal is ... everyone finds suitable answer :)

I've already screwed up all resolutions for the passing year, so I hereby declare not to make any new ones for 2009 :)PS: Errr, actually, I made a birthday resolution in November and went back to the gym. And I'm bloody keeping it so far! That's enuff :)

Ha! That explains everything! What a relief! It's not my being inconsistent or because of my weak will! It's simply inappropriate timing that has ruined ALL my last year's resolutions (actually, the previous years' resolutions as well...)!!
Thus, I'm not going to make any right now. Will wait till September!
