Temat: New Secretary of State in US

Hilary Clinton has just decided to accept the post of the Secretary of State. I think it's great news and I wish her all success! I belive she can bring a lot of positive energy to the new goverment and her international experience/ expertise. :)
The future seems to look a bit better now! :)

That's the only thing what I think about it right now.

Is there a chance that Hillary Clinton will be good for YOU? Or for POLAND? VISA? Stronger and better ties with US perhaps, more cooperation?

I don't get this Polish obsession with US visas... WTF is so problematic about them? Getting one takes you, dunno, 2 hrs and after touching down in US you stand in the very same bloody queue to get stamp of admittance from US border bloke.

Anyway, Hillary is a good choice. So far Obama is spot on - Napolitano and how HRC may indicate he is going to build a very well geared cabinet.

This might become to be the best cabinet so far in the US history.
Not that I'm keen on visas case and whole deal but it starts to turn to a very bright side.

Considering that it will be the first time in 50 years without a Bush in the White House running things.

I think it might appear like this, but i believe Obama has a vision for those people running their chairs. And I think i am happy and keen that it is not another ex-soldier who runs those people. We might finally see US trying to solve worlds problems not using their army.

I found a reason. Faith. I have Faith that some of these people together might REALLY change something. She is one of them.

Not cynical at all Joj, if he doesn't get rid of the insiders like Negroponte for starters... it will be nothing more than a "pic na wode" as they say in Mexico.

Exactly, actions always speak louder than words... but what a lot of people tend to forget, is the fact that none of these ruling class citizens have the slightest of ideas what people like myself need in order to improve our lives. When millions are screaming - Education and Health care for so many years now... it falls on deaf ears. I mean, do people have to burn the fucking white house down to be heard? What does it take exactly because I've given up.

It's almost irrelevant for this group, but from a domestic point of view, his appointment to the cabinet of a sec'y of Health and Human Services might be among his top two or three most important choices. Daschle, probably, from what I have seen.

(If we didn't have Bush, we would have had to make him up. Man).

Who remembers Sicko by Michael Moore? Hilary wanted to do good with Bill, make some changes to how health care is organized in US. Then the lobby started from health companies, then they said ok Hilary let's change a subject: You will not touch policy. Everything went back to normal (meaning: not normal but feeding large corporate giants)

I wish her good luck. Change seems impossible.
