Temat: Meaningless Teeshirts

A Polish friend asked me yesterday to explain the slogan on his teeshirt. I couldn't, because it seems to mean nothing.

It was: "Exigency of speed"

Does this in fact have a meaning, and can there be any slogan even more meaningless than that?

When I was at school, one of the idiotic things that we did was come up with stupid slogans that would be found on foreign t-shirt (yes, people were talking about this issue 15 years ago).
Our favourites were "Hot beach sun" and "California Cool".

You get similar crap on British stuff too. Sweatshirts with "College Academy Sports Team - The Original since 1857" and the like.

There are scores upon scores of completely pointless tee shirts being sold at various fairs and boardwalks through out states, usually ran by some old hippies or deadheads:

“Visualize whirled peas”
“My karma ran over your dogma”
“old hippies never dye”

I always like all the spectacular tee shirts with train logos like a nice blue “A” or “L”

Why pointless?
“My karma ran over your dogma” just made me cry laughing.

I personally own a lot of nonsense t-shirts and never had any problem with people not understanding the meaning. My three personal favourites are:

*A simple tee with an unidentified animal/bug/rodent with a caption "What the fu*k is it?". That shirt is making me friends all over the world for more then two years now. And good friends.

*A vintage tee with some random name of a tire shop from the states.

*A tee with a skull and a phrase "Midbroke Gentleman", with a creepy feature that when you google that expression all you find is THIS F*ING T-SHIRT in bargain stores databases. It's a sick t-shirt from hell.

It reads "Russian Doll" on the one I'm wearing today. Indeed, there's also a matrioshka on it. All you could expect from a T-shirt rummaged in a charity shop in Glesga :D

I wear this one when I work in the garden (Which I don't do it often lately, because not much left to do).
This one is taken when I was cleaning the fish pond.
I find it funny.
