Temat: Market your town
I've stayed at home or the office for the past two years, but if you are ever in my flat or my office in Krakow, I hope my guide serves you well:
a) sights
Our bedroom is a wonderful mixture of blues and whites. On certain days, the bedclothes are a blue-white check, which really creates some breathtaking scenery, and makes me want to jump into my pyjamas and get horizontal! In our office, Aneta from the office next door is in her mid-twenties, tall and athletic, with beautiful hair. When she turns her head quickly, or there is a light breeze, she really creates some breathtaking scenery, and makes me want to jump into my pyjamas and get horizontal!
b) culture
In 1999, I read a very good book, about the future. I can't remember who wrote it, but it has robots in it. I still have it, should any avid Sci-Fi fans have free time. Alternately, they could look at our copy of Gustav Klimt's
Der Kuss (my wife's), or our poster of Clint Eastwood's
Dirty Harry (mine).
c) shopping
Across the road from us there is a Tesco, which, as well as having food AND drink, sells things like disposeable barbecue trays, flip-flops and tampons. Something for everyone here (the shop does close at 8 on a Sunday, so you may need to plan your trip) At the office, the Coke machine in the lobby sells cans of Coke, Sprite, Fanta and Cherry Coke for an unbelieveable 1.60!!!
d) food
The
Barek in our office block (called "Barek"), does every style of cuisine imagineable, from Pierogi to Barszcz. For the more adventurous, you can get steak with mushrooms and chips, which tastes like pierogi anyway. Generally, we bring sandwiches.
As we have three kids at home, you can feel free to sample one of the many kinds of juice, fruit tea, yoghurt and cereals we have. As we have three kids at home, we also have a wide range of vodkas, beer and whiskey close at hand. Happy Hour is when the kids all go to sleep. (from 21:00 -times may vary, check if Sean had any chocolate in the last hour or two before he goes to bed, and if James looks like he's going to puke for the sake of it!)
e) other 'must do' things (if any).
Our bathroom is quite nice, and worth a visit(No reading!), and in the office, I recommend a trip to the neighbouring office when there is a nice breeze!
So there it is. Quite obvious why I've rejected the boring sights and sounds of Krakow. Coming to my house or office? See you there ;-)
Unless I'm asleep.
