Life is what we make it.There's no point in complicating things, but some people must be enjoying doing so. If a simple solution to a "problem" works, then why the hell spend time on it, time that can be used to do something else (procrastrination!!!)
And no, life isn't a simple thing. It isn't a thing at all - it is a process.

Well... it was supposed to be fairly simple. During our caveman times, human beings had 80% leisure time, now that we are all smart and civilized we hardly reach 20%... prolonging our lives did not necessarily improve its standards.

Life -for me- is simple only when I understand what I want, my own limits ("none", if that's how I see it) and I have the mental strength to survive.The thing is, this "mental strength to survive" has a different meaning for different people. One could define or interpret it as "suicidal tendency", while the others could understand as: "willingness to live, and achieve".

I read a discussion about the visit of Dalai Lama in my town.He was supposed to give a speech which he did in fact.
Someone wrote they were disappointed as all he actually said were trivial and obvious things. And the response was that life in fact is simple.

I'm glad you find it amusing. Don't you think that the amount of time that we now spend on labor, which in no way benefits our well being other than providing us with funds to sustain a way of life that we've grown to be accustomed to has everything to do with the simplicity of it all?
It's not supposed to be this difficult, we've invented technology to help us, to replace physical and for the most part mental labor as well, but in turn we have failed to implement this knowledge and improve on it thus making our lives much harder than they should be.
Logic would suggest that the better and more advanced the technology, the less physical labor is required and more specialized jobs would be in demand, we however have managed to do the absolute opposite, by creating technology that is obsolete by the time it actually hits the market and becomes pretty outdated within months. Not to mention the over all quality of most of our robotics or mechanical toys with life spans counted in months, sometimes weeks while in reality we do have the technology which would allow us to create things that we could actually rely on, but that would be against the supply vs. demand rule of our market… yet it would be so very logical.
