Apparently, where there is a will, there is a way. If you want to talk about the colour of something you like to talk about in general, you’ll find the way.

BTW, it always gets me when my driving instructor tells me to “park near that Skoda”. How on earth am I supposed to know which car he means? All the cars around look like Skoda to me. So I ask him “Which one?” “The red one, on the left” (pointing it with his finger). “Oh, you mean the burgundy one? Now you’re talking!”

Just for the benefit of other female readers, I'll take the liberty of adding that "left" is the side where the driver's seat is. Memorise it. Wearing a ring also helps, and can actually save multiple lives of innocent bystanders.

I used to have a colour blind friend (I hope it's PC to say that).
And when talking with him, I often subconsciously referred to the beauty of nature, colours, no mention clothes, etc. I realized that when I already had said something and was sooo embarassed!

(But it was a problem for him, something like some left-handed people still are embarrassed about it).

I think you are right. Usually men are not interested with the little details of the colours.

Although I like most of the mixed colors, don't ask their names to me, please :)

In contrast to Adam, I was never sure of the color of my 1st car back in 1995... I knew that it was a mixture between blue and green, that's all :) But tell me about the engine,.. I remember it. hehe

I was complaining to her about my difficulty to memorise dates and people's names - I mix them up all the time!

I see people's names in colours.

I associate each day of the week with a different color:

Monday - green
Tuesday - gray
Wednesday - asphalt gray
Thursday - white
Friday - red
Saturday - yellow
Sunday - silver

I've had this since the age of 7 or 8 :)
