I would truly love to understand the phenomenon of faith.

Well, I guess that a need of particiation in rituals is somehow encoded in our brains. Each single civilization or tribe had their beliefs which obviously resulted from the need of explaining the phenomena which governed the nature and as science or its origins were insuficient they needed 'ritualized' way of thinking. All this stuff survived in our culture eg. as fragments of stories and tales which we heard in childhood. Note, that child's awareness is also insufficient to understand the world in na 'scienific' way so it's on the way to create simplified 'paranormal' explanations. When we grow up we become more aware, but often it's not enuff to give up our childhood's dreams and simplifications. If some ppl give up religion they also tend 2 look 4 other rituals like parades, or arts, or music concerts, or etc. They all work quite similar as a mass 4 christians.

I respect both religious ppl and atheists, don't respect satanists cuz they suck and ppl who just use a 'choice' of different religious beliefs 4 their own comfort (something like 'atheits with a strong belief in power of intuition').

I must stress that i hate building a wall between religious and irreligious ppl. Don't know y ppl can't consider faith like eg. eating olives - u like olives or not and in the same way u belive in God or not - and in both cases u can't explain y.

I think it seems like a valuable demonstration but if it hinders even one dispassionate person that's one-too many, and they ought to have an enclosed venue or route for it, i.e., parks, stadiums. Not streets.

I know: "good luck" right? :)

Well Joj, i think u sound unrealistically idealistic. There are so many phenomena who hinder me, as for example ppl who provide adverising flyers by the entrances to underground, demonstrations, parades, groups of kids who are sightseeing the city with their teachers, etc, etc... and what? should i demand all of them 2 be forbidden?

@Bernd - yeah, a brillant joke there :) it's in the same way sophisticated as if 1 asked u if there's ur daughter on that photo ;)
