I had a chance to visit the cathedral in Metz, France last week. Apart from being one of the highest religious buildings in the world it boasts an exquisite collection of stained glasses. It has some by Marc Chagall but I'd say they're not as impressive as the old ones.Here's just one

Just two days. It's a mere one hour and a half train ride from Trier in Germany where I stayed. The city is a perfect location - 1h to France, 40min to Luxembourg, 2h to Belgium. Aaa and from Luxembourg you can reach Paris by TGV in no more than 2h!

Ah, the religious building! An hour or so. Then about three hours outside in cafes sipping coffee and admiring its external architecture ;)
and tell me about Paris from your perspective
I didn't go this time but it was my regular holiday outpost during studies. Again, it calls for a new thread, Lidia. Sorry for being so pedantic.

I'm gonna try to see that as a compliment ;)
Now a true gem of the Art Nouveau style and a must-see once you're in Brussels. Victor Horta's house turned museum at Rue Americaine. Plenty of stained glass inside as well as mosaics and organic motifs in steel and iron. All of this in a relatively modest town house out of the city centre.
