Is there any potential business purposes to be gained through participating in Nasza Klasa or is it just "hey, remember the fat girl from our class with no friends... what's she doing now?"

I use nasza-klasa simply because I’ve lost contact with a lot of my friends and family after I left the country. It is for Poles only, there are options to add international schools, it’s not working just yet though.
Steve, to answer you question – yes, I am positive that it can be an amazing tool for business – 11 million people! That’s a shit load almost ¼ of Poland is on NK and I am sure a large % of them would love to learn English. There are various interest groups that you can start under “fake profile” (Because they actually let you do that) where you can post and mass mail people or post on different forums. There is a large number of English oriented threads already.
I’ve been bombarded with ads and things of sort already, not to mention the paid adverts. I think it is a tremendous market and anyone underestimating it is losing money.
Facebook is ok… I use it to keep in touch with some friends across states. I use Myspace a lot, with my 1700 friends haha… it’s an awesome tool that I use for a number of things like – promoting my event – one click and 1700 people know about an event that I am putting together. I also use it to find new artists or new music by artists whom I already am familiar with. Majority of musicians put their tracks on Myspace before they come out on vinyl so it’s a great way to get a feel of what’s to come… and of course I am hooked on Mafia Wars! A little txt based game ;)
