Why not simply check "Nasza Klasa"? ;)Used to live in a little village near Strzelce Opolskie, then moved out to Opole, last year came to the UK, lived in Chester for a while and finally settled down (?) in New Brighton, Wirral. I'm planning to move house in Sept/Oct, but will definitely stay in the area.

Warren, it would be probably boring for others just to read what I find attractive/unattractive or just think about living in the UK or Mersyeside, and apart from that, I must admit, I have little time to do it - used to write a blog (in Polish) but am too busy - the summer has come, so I try to spend as much time outdoors as possible - and lazy to continue, so I'm afraid there'll be no use in starting a new thread.
However, I can tell you briefly what I like:
I like it here in New Brighton ("over da water" from Liv) because I've got everything I need - the town is peaceful and quiet, but has the most essential infrastructure plus bowling alley (I'm addicted to bowling) and a few nice pubs/night clubs at the promenade along the seaside. The theatre is under construction. The promenade along the coastline is a wonderful idea as it takes you all the way down to the end of the peninsula where you can cross the river Dee and explore Wales and the Lake District is just a few hours away in the opposite direction, which is a treat for such "tramps" as myself. I love taking cycling and walking trips, admiring the coastline as I think the Britain's natural landscapes are one of the most beautiful in the world (that was the main reason I decided to come here) and when I feel like having some cultural experience I take a train/bus and 20 minutes later I'm in the heart of Liv, which offers loads of entertainment of various kind. What's more, I've got the job I like (do the same things I did in Poland) and am finally well paid for it, so how can I long for more?
Of course, there are things which annoy me, but they are nothing more than nuisances you have to cope with in every place or country in the world and the English reality has its advantages and disadvantages, but looking on the bright side does the trick - as always and everywhere :)
And I'm aware that the whole description may seem too perfect to be true but that's just the way it is - I am just genuinely happy. End of transmission. There's a real life out there :)Patrycja P. edytował(a) ten post dnia 02.07.08 o godzinie 16:17
