Critical mass Steven? Nice one! I've worked on some projects together with some people that do that here in NYC. Did you by any chance catch the police “action” that took place at the last NYC meeting?

I haven't actually been on CM in Warsaw yet. Helped set one up in my university town when I was a student, eons ago.

Hmmm. I'll steer well clear of any policemen lining the route.

The riders didn't get too much sympathy from the Youtube users. I might be wrong, but I think in Poland, and in the UK, they usually get permission from the police, and an escort around.

Critical mass is not a very popular form of protest in the Big Apple. As you can imagine, all the commuters in already near to stand still traffic, now facing bikers … they do get police protection… but this is what it usually looks like. They really like to fuck with people a lot, for pretty much any reason possible. It’s the new rezoning and bringing up the property value etc etc… pretty crappy.
