And you know what, we don't really care from which country these people are.

I mean... what on Earth could be more natural than shooting this question?


Of course people ask the question in Turkey and just about every country in the world.

I'm pretty well-travelled, and am familiar with many nationalities.

In my experience, the question is not asked with the same frequency outside Poland.

This is not merely my experience, but also that of most natives I know in Poland.

You know, I learned something today...

On the internet we virtualy meet many people whom we do not know very well. We should not judge them hastily and should respect their views even if they are different than ours. But even if we agree with them, it should not prevent us from arguing, insulting and jeering at them.

You see, peace is a great thing in real life, but what does it bring on the internet boards? It's booo-ring!

Yet, I am still more baffled by the actual tone of "why" rather than the question itself.
It's absolutely true - Poles think of Poland as the crazy bizzaro world and anyone claiming otherwise is lying!
I've literally met a few people who actually understand why I've made the choice to come back, the rest is at a complete awe.

My ridiculous answer is - I enjoy hearing my name pronounced correctly.
