Temat: Freudian slips
I can't help noticing Freudian slips during my Business English classes. Sometimes I wonder if those mistakes actually reflect problems from the students' personal lives ;)Some samples:
A male credit analyst, unhappily married:
"The group meeting took place in the bedroom" (boardroom)
A senior negotiator with a major real estate company, currently a first-time mother:
"The new skyscaper will have the shape of a huge oral tower" (oval)
A female PA, single:
"I fok a lot" (thought)
A risk analyst & prospective spinster:
"We must look after the child" (customer)
Another lady:
"I must see this clap" (club)
And finally me:
"It's really impotent" (important) [and that DOES NOT reflect a problem!!!]
Any similar observations?
Still, my funniest slip of the tongue was "prawdopodobly".Adam Lipiński edytował(a) ten post dnia 26.06.08 o godzinie 15:05
