Sorry, Kasia,
plastic, tiny, and my kids still love playing with it now, although the youngest does tend to throw it around. The exact same description goes for the Lego, too :-)
thank you for your answer :-) do you have any favourite Lego products? We've already built a whole lego city but it's difficult to collect everything as they introduce new city sets all the time :-D all in all it's a quite expensive hobby :-)

Tatiana Saternus came up with these!

You'll be famous Tatiana!
1. From which sources do we learn our gender roles?

Mirrors
2. Do you believe we are not alone in the universe? If yes, how do you imagine "the Others"?

The universe is built on being alone. I think that guy, God, invented toys.
3. Why do you/don't you think adoptive children should have a right to see their adoption records?

Right to self-destruction is the opposite site of self creation. Everyone has it.
4. How do you react to peer pressure? How was it different when you were a kid?

I'm getting thicker or thiner. It was easier to be Zelig in childhood...
5. Describe your favorite toys :) (yes, now and back then as well)

Turning rivers back to deserts... What a super toy! It is the only thing I wish I had in the communism.

My brothers and I had a lot of generic blocks, but we did have a few sets. I had a spaceship with lighting lights, and my brother had the police station. When we progressed onto Technics, I had the big red car (YES! SCORE!) and my brother had a Polar Ice Vehicle, or something. Usually we just made our own things, though. My son is getting into Lego now (as opposed to Duplo). It's really great for stimulating the imagination, and helps with dexterity and concentration. And you can make a Robot, and Robots are ALWAYS cool.

Muuuuchas gracias.
1. From which sources do we learn our gender roles?
I don't have much to add that wouldn't be redundant, except to say that the disparity that exists between attitudes concerning girls who exhibit some boyish characteristics and boys with feminine ones is kinda interesting. I'll bet some damage gets done to these little guys that way.
2. Do you believe we are not alone in the universe? If yes, how do you imagine "the Others"?
The reasoning that has to do with odds and the vastness of space and the number of solar systems with their probable planetary systems only makes me feel more miraculous and lucky to be right here where I'm sitting. But just in case:

To our heroic conquerors, I would like to take this opportunity to pledge my allegiance and loving cooperation toward your benevolent occupation. Please count on me to provide you with any information you command to know about subversive individual human units. I usually need only 2500 of our Earth calories, and I would prefer an occupation in the heterosexual breeding farms as opposed to the opposite experimental sites in return. Hail Dear Leaders.
3. Why do you/don't you think adoptive children should have a right to see their adoption records?
I do (Magda's friend).
4. How do you react to peer pressure? How was it different when you were a kid?
I don't recall sensing it as a kid. As an adult I suppose it has a positive influence on me. Pay my bills, etc.
5. Describe your favorite toys :) (yes, now and back then as well)
"Rosebud..."

They were connected to athletics, and now I have some motorsports things, land and water. Nothing special, "...men and boys...price of their toys."Joj Y. edytował(a) ten post dnia 03.08.09 o godzinie 17:19

1. From which sources do we learn our gender roles?

Parents, parents, parents and beging from adolescency from other society models. In adulthood our seeing and performing of gender roles can be modified but only if... we are aware of what we' ve learned so far.
2. Do you believe we are not alone in the universe? If yes, how do you imagine "the Others"?
No, I do not. We are all alone. I think human intelligence and awareness is unique in the universe.

3. Why do you/don't you think adoptive children should have a right to see their adoption records?

Well, I think that having that right is not always good for them. It can cause a trauma to know who was a biological mother or father. It can cause a need for revange, or sense of a shame from someones roots. We are not only genes, but first of all we are shaped by upbringing, models of society, conditions of life, so if they would have right they should be first prepared by professionalists.
4. How do you react to peer pressure? How was it different when you were a kid?

Do I react? They react. I'm pressureproof. Always was.
5. Describe your favorite toys :) (yes, now and back then as well)

Clothes, jewellery, shoes, bags, parfums.
