Sorry these are late, as well, but my friends Martin and Lara are here from San Francisco. So these are dedicated to them:

1. In what situation do you think you could kill a man with your bare hands?

2. What is the most bizarre thing you have ever eaten?

3. If you had a racehorse, what would you name it?

4. What is your favourite item of clothing?

5. What's your idea of the perfect romantic evening?

For all questions, a follow-up optional "Why?" question is implied :)Keith Byrne edytował(a) ten post dnia 21.03.08 o godzinie 17:48

1. In what situation do you think you could kill a man with your bare hands?
If my children were threatened maliciously, I think I could manage to tap into my adrenaline stores and wreak havoc.
2. What is the most bizzarre thing you have ever eaten?
poisenous mushrooms - the most bizarre by far
3. If you had a racehorse, what would you name it?

>Daizykutter
4. What is your favourite item of clothing?

That sweater my husband wore the previous day - all wrapped up in his cologne and his personal scent.

5. What's your idea of the perfect romantic evening?

A night out in a Manhattan club that's playing experimental noise. We don't know a soul in the club as not to be forced to mingle.
It's warm and breezy and rainy and we have a large umbrella and we walk to the best sushi house in New York. We stop at a nice pub for some drinks and then head home to try out some new fresh flavors and scents. With the dawn, the romance lingers as the morning rays of sunshine flood the apartment. When the children come back home we marvel in our good fortune and invite them to share our mood. A true simple and attainable romantic evening perfect in every way. :)Kari Wolk edytował(a) ten post dnia 21.03.08 o godzinie 17:40

1. In what situation do you think you could kill a man with your bare hands?

As I answer this, I see it was a lame question! I'd kill anyone who was a real threat to my family, with a clear conscience.

2. What is the most bizarre thing you have ever eaten?

Camel burger, I suppose. Without ketchup, though!

3. If you had a racehorse, what would you name it?

I'd call it "Littleormiddle", after my son's two favourite toy horses.
4. What is your favourite item of clothing?

Either an Anaheim Ducks hockey top for around the house, or a John Rocha (Irish designer) shirt, which makes even me look good in a suit!

5. What's your idea of the perfect romantic evening?

Probably a meal in the town -maybe Wenzl, on the Rynek- and then a walk through snow-covered planty to the taxi, which happens to be a new german sedan that doesn't smell of tobacco, and takes us back home early enough to have drink while curled up on the sofa, or in bed, and then falling alseep before, after, instead, that's not so important. The kids, of course, are on holiday with Babcia and Dziadek ;-)

1. In what situation do you think you could kill a man with your bare hands?
My own husband should he ever raise his hand to beat me - he has already told me a few times that I should have a man who knows how to show a woman who wears the trousers in the house. God knows which way such ideas might lead him one day... :)
2. What is the most bizarre thing you have ever eaten?
The worst thing was a frog (only one!)in dill sauce which I was forced to eat in some "church-like" restaurant in Antwerp. The frog wasn't bad but then they told me stories how it was killed somewhere in Pakistan and I regretted ever putting it into my mouth.
3. If you had a racehorse, what would you name it?
BIG
4. What is your favourite item of clothing?
A beautiful evening dress made and painted by my own husband.
All the measurements for the dress were taken with me lying on the floor (the head included in the length). Actually, I have no choice but to see it as beautiful and wear it from time to time.
5. What's your idea of the perfect romantic evening?

Łazienki Park in summer after it's closed for the public.

1. In what situation do you think you could kill a man with your bare hands?
Don't know, I honestly don't know.
2. What is the most bizarre thing you have ever eaten?
While in France last year, I was invited to dinner by my company's business partners. I don't know what it was that they served, but it had eyes and it was blinking (I swear!). I preferred not knowing what it was. Ignorance is bliss.
3. If you had a racehorse, what would you name it?
Winner. (with an i and two n's and not with two e's and one n).
4. What is your favourite item of clothing?
Familiar with those heavy sheep-wool sweaters? I have about half a dozen of them made by my grandma. Too bad I don't get to wear them often - they're too hot for the Italian climate.
5. What's your idea of the perfect romantic evening?
I ain't falling for this one, mate! I share my intimate thoughts here and next thing I know you'll be knocking on my door with a bottle of finest Barbera di Asti and an invitation to a small trattoria somewhere in Tuscany to a dinner for two.

1. In what situation do you think you could kill a man with your bare hands?

The whole family thing would take first place, followed by some poor soul who would try to mess with my record collection.

2. What is the most bizarre thing you have ever eaten?

Marinated lamb tongue for what they are... urgh.. never again.
Funky fungus aka poisenous mushrooms for... well the after effect.

3. If you had a racehorse, what would you name it?

I woulndn't... I'd just call it Horse, so when it breaks it's leg and we have to shoot it and turn it into dog food, I wouldn't feel so bad.

4. What is your favourite item of clothing?

Sweatshirts, they make you look neat even if you just got out of bed.

5. What's your idea of the perfect romantic evening?

Night out on town, away from kids, sushi, good music. I know, but that's why we're married.

1. In what situation do you think you could kill a man with your bare hands?

Rage, if at all. Probably to protect those I love or who desperately need protecting.
2. What is the most bizarre thing you have ever eaten?

Roast swan, at the home of an old lady who 'found' it in a park in Sheffield. Goat brain tastes nicer than it sounds, but unfortunately looks exactly like what it is.
3. If you had a racehorse, what would you name it?

Cezar, after my amazing, zajebisty doggie who died a week ago today. My f**kwitted lodger was taking him for a walk and let him slip the lead and run after a lady dog on the other side of a busy road.
4. What is your favourite item of clothing?

A pink Yves St Laurent shirt. It cost nearly nothing in a Parisian version of Oxfam and is nearly falling apart. I've bought a supposedly identical replacement but it somehow isn't the same.
5. What's your idea of the perfect romantic evening?

A lovely home cooked meal, a walk in the country, and a good hard shag by the side of a moonlit lake.
For all questions, a follow-up optional "Why?" question is implied

Why? Because I've been sat in the kitchen with friends who are there even now, eating Gratin Dauphinois (with mielonka and wild mushrooms in) and getting hammered on Argentinian cabernet and neat Triple Sec and feel like it!Jon M. edytował(a) ten post dnia 22.03.08 o godzinie 13:46

1. In what situation do you think you could kill a man with your bare hands?

If it was him or me.
2. What is the most bizarre thing you have ever eaten?

Lamb's brain (in Egypt). The answer would have been "Zimne Nóżki" if I'd actually tried the dish instead of merely retching at the very thought...
3. If you had a racehorse, what would you name it?

No F.... Idea
4. What is your favourite item of clothing?
My socks
5. What's your idea of the perfect romantic evening?

1. In what situation do you think you could kill a man with your bare hands?

It would be the next person that either shouts into their mobile phone whilst near to me, or someone in a bus/tram/train with their music buzzing loudly out of their headphones. However, that wouldn't be with my bare hands, but with a baseball bat, so I guess it doesn't count.

2. What is the most bizarre thing you have ever eaten?

When I was young I was a faddy eater, and though I'm better now I'm not so adventurous.
Perhaps raw mussels. My friend and I didn't know we were supposed to cook them. We were extremely ill 24 hours later.

3. If you had a racehorse, what would you name it?

'Huge Jenny Taylor', because I think there has already been a horse called Hoof Hearted.

4. What is your favourite item of clothing?

I really don't think I have something I love. The occasional time that I've spent extra money to get a branded pair of jeans because they fit me well, rather than pay less for something that is just OK. I've felt good putting them on later.

5. What's your idea of the perfect romantic evening?
My experiences so far say that it isn't where we go, but who with. Just me and her, very relaxed circumstances, with all the time in the world.

1. Self-defence!
2. Seafood (actually, it is people who find it bizzare, not me who love it) and horseflesh (I felt so guilty about it).
3. Errr... Grasshopper? :)
4. Skirts, skirts, skirts! I've got about 30 of them and it looks like I'll never get enough. It's like a fetish :)
5. Me plus one, some wine, Mediterranean food, ice cream, DVDs, music, huge and comfortable pillows, candlelight, etc. ;)

Well, Steven stole most of my answers but here goes:

1. If anyone hurt my son I wouldn't kill them but cut their head off with a spoon... Seriously, I'd want them suffer
2. Goat cheese ice cream on top of apple pie - wasn't bas, but real bizarre as your brain makes you think ice cream's supposed to be sweet and yet when you put a spoonful in your mouth it's a bit like biting into an apple and discovering it tastes like herring
3. Incommunicado (now everyone will know I'm a fan of progressive rock)
4. Same as Steven - no favorite item just a few things I like wearing because they feel good.
5. I'd agree it's not where and when but who with. When you have the right person beside you, it can be Paris at midnight, a log cabin in the morning, or a sewer in the midst of a hot day. Besides, I'm immune to romance

Sorry these are late, as well, but my friends Martin and Lara are here from San Francisco. So these are dedicated to them:

1. In what situation do you think you could kill a man with your bare hands?
I'm a lover...not a fighter, but the answer is: when my munitions and ordnance are exhausted.

Or: when some of these old ladies don't immediately give me their purse when I tell them to...(you just never get used to the sound the bones make). :)
2. What is the most bizarre thing you have ever eaten?
Lizard wine. It was a drink made from some mildly fermented fruits that was helped along by a an Iguana, long since expired, or else very, very sleepy, and more severely fermented than the fruit could ever get.

100% FUBAR.
3. If you had a racehorse, what would you name it?
I have consulted with one of my little nieces for this: "boy horse or girl horse?" (both)
"If it's a boy horse, Jerry. If it's a girl horse, Lola."
4. What is your favourite item of clothing?
Things that compliment my skin tones, mostly Earth tones, according to the consultants I hire. :) After all, I AM more of an "autumn," you know. :)))Thank you for asking. :) I'm joking, of course. I just like to say that. :) Maybe something mesh.
5. What's your idea of the perfect romantic evening?
Have it be evening. I'm in love :)

For all questions, a follow-up optional "Why?" question is implied :)

Sorry for being late but I was in Zakopane and away from computer (finally:)

1. In what situation do you think you could kill a man with your bare hands?
self/family defence

2. What is the most bizarre thing you have ever eaten?
deep fried cockroaches - in China, sea cucumber in Japan

3. If you had a racehorse, what would you name it?
Had one once - her name was Klara

4. What is your favourite item of clothing?
Being naked :P

5. What's your idea of the perfect romantic evening?
Wow.....this is difficult and how am I suppose to be special? so - as I just came back from snowboarding - the most romantic evening is right after leaving the slopes, still in snowboarding clothes, over a beer in a local bar

2. Ostrich sausages which I bought in Warsaw:)

3. Ladybird ("fly and get me some bread";) maybe there's a similar 'spell' in English?

4. Silk scarf

5. A walk on the beach (preferably Portugal;)) in the evening...;)

Nice to meet you all:)
