You're sweet, Patrycja :)
No, that lovely girl who was wearing that perfume was my first "real kiss".
She wasn't a big love for me. Rather a rehearsal. Very sweet rehearsal :)

Now, I see. You dissolved my doubts :). (As usual I don't know :/... is it correct?, but I hope you understand me ;)))))

Questions courtesy of our man in Warsaw, Mr. Adam Lipiński!

1. Poles have been known for their commitment to lost causes. Have you ever found yourself defending a lost cause? What was it, and what was the ultimate outcome?

I share No 1 with Magda. You know the outcome. Lesson learnt: as far as politics are concerned, never count on Poles’ common sense.

2. The first time is the deepest, even for emotional surfer boys. How did you meet your first love? Who were they and how did you part? Did it determine or otherwise affect your future amorous pursuits?

Primary school, sixth or seventh grade. He joined our class quite unexpectedly. Before a week had passed, 95% of the girls (including me) were in love with him. It was an unrequited love but I liked the feeling anyway. Did it determine my future amorous pursuits? I have no idea. I tend to get fascinated by men who hardly notice my existence, but stay totally indifferent to those who get hooked on me. So, you tell me.

3. Are you easily offended? What was the gravest insult you've heard and how did you handle it?

I quess I am pretty resistant to common insults you can sometimes hear from a drunk stranger in the street. What hurts really badly is a tailor-made insult from a person who knows me and my weak points.

4. Everyone has a price. Could you possibly picture youself doing public striptease or making love to an obese Arab sheikh? If yes, then answer Borat's trademark question: "How much?"

The answer is “No”. I am not that desperate. In fact, I am not desperate about money at all. If I needed it to cover the costs of medical treatment meant to save life of someone dear to me, I would probably consider undressing for cash. No sex, thou.

5. Some people live in order to pass on the genes. Some people are like sponges or video cameras, collecting experiences, living their own movies. What is the ultimate goal of your life?

I’ll let you know as soon as I find out.

C'mon, Adam, you were supposed to provide some light-hearted weekend entertainment!

1. Poles have been known for their commitment to lost causes. Have you ever found yourself defending a lost cause? What was it, and what was the ultimate outcome?

I actually joined a feminist party one day. I really liked their rebellious nature. BTW, a great text on women in Polish ads in this weekend's Wysokie Obcasy.
If I were ever to defend anyone that would definitely be animals not people, though.

2. The first time is the deepest, even for emotional surfer boys. How did you meet your first love? Who were they and how did you part? Did it determine or otherwise affect your future amorous pursuits?

I first cast my eye on her in a stolówka of dom wczasowy in Wisla.
The parting involved drinking unthinkable amounts of alcohol outdoors.

3. Are you easily offended? What was the gravest insult you've heard and how did you handle it?
I think I am. I hate that but that's the way I am.

4. Everyone has a price. Could you possibly picture youself doing public striptease or making love to an obese Arab sheikh? If yes, then answer Borat's trademark question: "How much?"

I'd do much more for a really hefty sum.

5. Some people live in order to pass on the genes. Some people are like sponges or video cameras, collecting experiences, living their own movies. What is the ultimate goal of your life?

Well, that's what my Mum keeps asking me on various occasions, so yes, thanks a lot for playing it again, Adam.
Being myself, having fun, learning, travelling ... those are important to me. Shallow, I know, Mum.

She's deceased. But if you can't resist your necrophilia, it can be arranged. Or you can choose my father's pet rabbit.

Questions courtesy of our man in Warsaw, Mr. Adam Lipiński!

1. Poles have been known for their commitment to lost causes. Have you ever found yourself defending a lost cause? What was it, and what was the ultimate outcome?

I try as often as I can reinforce the use of common sense. I have failed miserably.

2. The first time is the deepest, even for emotional surfer boys. How did you meet your first love? Who were they and how did you part? Did it determine or otherwise affect your future amorous pursuits?

It was a chick at a summer camp. It was great, then sad, then I got over it. I think you learn from every interaction with any other human being, so I am sure I got something out of this one as well… don’t really remember anymore, it’s been a very… very long time.

3. Are you easily offended? What was the gravest insult you've heard and how did you handle it?

No, I don’t let people get to me. Gravest insult? I think you, yourself are responsible for the degree of “graveness” attached to any insult. I believe that only you can allow yourself to get mad, so it is up to you alone to either get offended or not… I chose not to.

4. Everyone has a price. Could you possibly picture youself doing public striptease or making love to an obese Arab sheikh? If yes, then answer Borat's trademark question: "How much?"

Obese Arab sheikh? I think I’d pass. Money is one thing, living with yourself after is another.

1. Poles have been known for their commitment to lost causes. Have you ever found yourself defending a lost cause? What was it, and what was the ultimate outcome?

I'm a kind of local patriot, trying to defend my city against the onslaught of newcomers. No detractor shall pass. Warsaw Fans Hooligans. I'm also trying to live a beautiful, fully saturated life, but somehow the tape is running too fast.
2. The first time is the deepest, even for emotional surfer boys.
When I was four, I would dance in the playground with a girl called Justynka. Then, after two weeks, I would ditch her because of a toy aircraft.
3. Are you easily offended? What was the gravest insult you've heard and how did you handle it?
"Mnie dorożkarz nie obrazi" - just to quote a certain Warsaw poet.

4. Everyone has a price. Could you possibly picture youself doing public striptease or making love to an obese Arab sheikh? If yes, then answer Borat's trademark question: "How much?"
I think that some girls are still circulating photos of my bare ass in a Wrocław hotel window. Forgot to take the cash though.
5. Some people live in order to pass on the genes. Some people are like sponges or video cameras, collecting experiences, living their own movies. What is the ultimate goal of your life?
My goal was to achieve the ultimate peace of mind. Mission accomplished. And yes, I'm a camera, collecting pictures, characters, episodes, trying to 'record' something new, to change my immediate surroundings. When I reflect on it, I sometimes feel 50 years old. I also want to be remembered as someone who always pushed forward, glided through life effortlessly like a skillful dancer, could always crack a joke, brightened people's lives, and never had any problems. An outsider inside. "Unnahbar euren Schritten" - as Wagner's Lohengrin said. It's a tough challenge, but I'm managing so far.

BTW I've found some kind of golden chalice, called the Grail. What's that for? I'll sell that crap on Allegro ;)Adam Lipiński edytował(a) ten post dnia 17.09.08 o godzinie 20:57
